Suffolk Survey & Subsea Services (S4) recently conducted an intensive 3-day Survey Appreciation Course with issued attendance Certificates for Briggs Marine management team (Cable Division).

The course was held at Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline, Fife, providing excellent support, training aids and hospitality – not far from Briggs headquarters in Burntisland. The course was arranged by Raeburn Training in partnership with Briggs Marine for all their training requirements.

With S4 having closely supported Briggs for a number of years and since 2013 with survey & consultancy support, the course was tailored to Briggs owned marine fleet assets and past surveys and data examples.

Subjects covered included – Tendering/ Survey Planning, Survey Documents summary (Project MDR), Personnel Requirements/ Responsibilities & Compositions, Online Acquisition & Offline Processing/ Delivery Flows, Survey Equipment Schematics, Surface Navigation & Positioning, Geophysical, Geotechnical, Thermal Testing, Benthic/ Environmental, pUXO, Survey Checks/ Verifications/ Calibrations, ROV’s and Payloads, Route/ Pre Lay/ As Laid/ As Trenched surveys, CLV Lay & Support, Digital Video suites, Asset Integrity Monitoring (AIM) & GIS.
